1.Providing safe and supportive shelter in which all residents/victims and their children can escape and find immediate relief from their crisis;
2.Providing individual case management to assist victims/residents to overcome obstacles in life such as poverty, abuse/assault, give them time to recover and examine their alternatives; and have a safe and secure environment in which to act upon their choices;
3.Providing basic needs of residents to ensure proper physical, mental, and emotional stability;
4.Empowering victims through supportive services in order to give them the ability to maintain a violence free lifestyle; exposing them to alternatives to violent behavior through supportive services;
5.Providing services necessary to empower victims/residents giving them the ability to maintain independent living status, ensuring all victims have plans for achieving goals and overcoming shortfalls;
6.Providing a first response approach to victims of violent crimes by placing advocate on the scene with law enforcement;
7.Providing on site legal assistance; assistance with obtaining protective orders, court and hospital accompaniment in order to ensure highest quality of services are provided;
8.Providing education and awareness to the general public, schools, civic organizations, churches and allied professionals in our service area to create an understanding of the cycle/effects of violent crimes and abusive lifestyles on all people;
9.Providing opportunity for the public to assist in the eradication of domestic violence, sexual assault and homelessness through volunteer work, in-kind contributions or monetary donations creating a community coordinated response for all victims in crisis.
